Abstract CN93
Background
The “2.0 strategy for patient involvement" aims to involve patients and relatives to become active partners at Karolinska CCC. The strategy is based on involvement on different levels; strategic, operational, individual and in specific projects Involvement of patients and relatives is essential for better research and healthcare. In the strategic patient council, two patient representatives meets with medical and nursing managers regularly. The patient representatives address strategic topics to the council and the aim is also to exchange information about ongoing projects. The Strategic Council maps the level of existing patient involvement at operational level. The mapping resulted in a GAP analysis to identify areas of improvement in relation to the OECI standards for patient involvement.
Methods
The working method for GAP analysis has been questionnaires and focus groups based on areas selected by the authors according to OECI standards. Informants have been expert groups/professionals/managers.

Conclusions
Patient representatives’ views on patient involvement 2.0; “We observe that Theme Cancer has taken note of this and developed Patient Involvement 2.0 and initiated the implementation. In our role as patient representatives, we have seen the difference patient involvement makes. We can use the experiences of those affected and close relations to make a difference, and that encourages us to continue”.
