Breast Cancer - Studies in Premenopausal Women

Barbara Pistilli, Medical Oncologist at Senior Consultant of Breast Cancer Group, Gustave Roussy talks us through the abstract presented at ESMO 2018 titled “Serum assessment of non-adherence to adjuvant endocrine therapy (ET) among premenopausal patients in the prospective multicenter CANTO cohort”. We follow up with a broader discussion with Fatima Cardoso (Champalimaud Clinical Center) and Giuseppe Curigliano (University of Milano), two of Europe’s leading breast cancer experts. Though a substantial number of breast cancer is seen amongst premenopausal women and men, these people are underrepresented in studies, Dr Cardoso and Dr Curigliano look at ways this could change.
