The process of transporting the drug from the site of administration to its target in the systemic circulation

Manifestazione cutanea frequente dell’adolescenza e della prima età adulta, caratterizzata da papule follicolari o comedoni (punti neri) non infiammatori e, nelle sue forme più gravi, da papule, pustole e noduli infiammatori.

Manifestazione cutanea caratterizzata da eruzioni follicolari papulo-pustolose confinate alle aree seborroiche, con localizzazione frequente al volto, al cuoio capelluto, alla parte superiore del torace e alla schiena.

Proteina di elevato peso molecolare che contiene una regione alla quale si possono legare molecole di piccole dimensioni chiamate ligandi.

Malattia cutanea caratterizzata da eritema del viso, arrossamento della cute, foruncoli duri (papule) o pieni di pus (pustole) e teleangectasie (piccoli vasi sanguigni visibili con aspetto a ragnatela). Negli stadi più tardivi della malattia, il viso può gonfiare e il naso può assumere un aspetto bulboso che prende il nome di rinofima.

S

Malattia che causa piccole ulcere nella cavità orale, solitamente a carico di parte interna delle labbra, guance o lingua (conosciute anche come afte o ulcere aftose).

Lo strato basale è lo strato più profondo dell’epidermide ed è costituito da un monostrato di cellule basali o germinative (per lo più cheratinociti epidermici) che proliferano e si moltiplicano, dando origine a nuove cellule destinate agli altri strati epidermici. Migrando verso gli strati superiori dell’epidermide le cellule maturano e infine si trasformano in cellule cheratinizzate. Lo strato di cellule spinose appoggia direttamente sullo strato basale ed è composto da 5-10 strati di cellule.

Manifestazione cutanea (conosciuta anche come eczema craquelé) caratterizzata da cute pruriginosa, secca, screpolata e con fissurazioni poligonali e desquamazione irregolare. Inizialmente compare spesso sugli stinchi e ha un aspetto di “pavimentazione a lastre irregolari”. Altre aree che possono essere interessate sono la parte superiore delle braccia, le cosce e la parte inferiore della schiena. L’eczema asteatosico può causare dolore e prurito e viene osservato per lo più in persone di oltre 60 anni.

Depositi induriti che si formano in seguito all’essiccazione di siero, sangue o pus sulla superficie cutanea.
