Applications in NTRK Gene Fusion Testing

RT-PCR can confirm the presence of an NTRK gene fusion detected by another technique, such as IHC which detects TRK protein expression [1]. Importantly, RT-PCR does not provide information on the other fusion partner found in novel NTRK gene fusions.
