Overview
Nanostring is a high-throughput hybridisation technique that uses ctDNA and target-specific probes that can be customised to test for numerous fusion transcripts in a single assay using RNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded material [1, 2]. Even though available in some laboratories Nanostring is not widely used for NTRK gene fusion detection.
