Advantages

As nanostring is a panel-based approach, there is no need to run multiple individual FISH or RT-PCR tests for single genes or single fusion variants [1]. In addition, nanostring has high specificity and provides rapid results yet allows complete characterisation of the NTRK gene fusions. Nanostring also provides easier data analysis compared with NGS.
