Abstract

It has been learnt from RTOG dose escalation studies for esophageal cancer, that radiation dose beyond 50.4 Gy when combined with chemotherapy leads to higher toxicity without any survival benefit. This study evaluates long term clinical results of the patients treated with dose escalated volumetric modulated arc therapy (RA) and concurrent chemotherapy.
