Abstract

Aim/Background

To study Epstein – Barr virus (EBV) in combination with Helicobacter pylori (НР) in development of MALT- lymphoma of the stomach.

Methods

The study was conducted in 23 patients with verified diagnosis of stomach MALT lymphoma treated in the period 2012-2015 years. Age ranged from 25-69 years, with an average of 47,1 ± 0,4 years. The men were 14 (60.8%), 9 women (39.2%). The diagnosis was confirmed on the morphological and immunophenotypic study of biopsies obtained by endoscopy and operating material. Helicobacter pylori in tissue specimens identified by staining with hematoxylin and eosin. For the comparison group, we studied 10 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and 10 healthy people. We examined all patients for detection in serum virus specific antibody EBV. Also, determine the titer of IgG and IgA - to the capsid antigen of EBV by the method of indirect immunofluorescence reaction. P3HR1 cell line was used, and its producing virus capsid antigen.

Results

In 1 st group in 22 of 23 patients had Helicobacter pylori (95.6. In addition to the morphological diagnosis in patients examined blood serum to detect the virus - specific antibodies to EBV. To determine the titer of IgG and IgA - antibodies to the capsid antigen of Epstein - Bar was used cell line P3HR1. Level titer immunoglobulin G / VKA was 640-1280. The titer of IgA / VKA 40-320. Group 2 - 10 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. The average age of 47 years. Patients in this group had a history of chronic hyperacid gastritis. The duration of clinical symptoms 6-12 months. 8 of 10 patients were infected with Helicobacter pylori. Also examined identifying the virus in blood serum - specific antibodies to EBV. We also used the cell line P3HR1. Level titer immunoglobulin G / VKA was 20-80. The titer of IgA / CPA 1-1. Group 3 - healthy 10 people. The average age of 47 years. From history we had no complaints from the gastrointestinal tract. To control this group was conducted gastroscopy, the study of the gastric juice, in addition, research was conducted to identify serum virus - specific antibodies to EBV. The titer of IgG / CPA 1-1. The titer of IgA / CPA 1-1. Carriers HP was one of 10 people.

Conclusions

Analysis of the results leads to the conclusion that a combination of EBV with Hp could serve as the main predisposing factor of MALT lymphoma of the stomach.
