Clinical Practice Guidelines
ESMO Clinical Practice Guidelines
(CPGs) are intended to provide the user with a set of user
recommendations for the best standards of cancer care based on the
findings of evidence-based medicine. Each CPG includes information
on the incidence of the malignancy, diagnostic criteria, stating of
disease and risk assessment, treatment plans and follow-up. ESMO
CPGs are reviewed annually for currentness and relevance and are
updated as needed. A supplement to Annals of Oncology
is published annually with all updated CPGs.

ESMO also organizes Consensus Conferences to
address specific important questions in a single tumor type.
Consensus Conference manuscripts are published in Annals of
Oncology.
The ESMO Guidelines Working Group endeavors to
ensure that the ESMO CPGs and Consensus Conference manuscripts are
developed according to the best standards and are of the utmost
relevance to the intended audience: physicians working in the field
of medical oncology.
