Several important developments have been made in the management of thoracic and upper aerodigestive malignancies. As the understanding of molecular biology of cancer is evolving and novel approaches are rapidly emerging, the aim of the symposium was to cover a broad spectrum of scientific activities and offer opportunities for discussion of current and breakthrough concepts.
