Abstract

High yield tumour samples with minimal procedural complications are vital for complex molecular/pathological and genomic analyses in diagnosis and management of cancer patients. At RM we used CNB system and a pre-formed gelatine sponge sealing device to minimise the number of passes and reduce the risk of complications from image guided biopsies. This study had two aims: 1) to establish the success and safety of CNB approach and 2) prospective validation of tumour yield within two RM sponsored translational studies.
