Abstract

Biomedical research is fundamental for unveiling pathologies of diseases and developing more effective means for treatment and prevention. Lack of resources and data is a factor hindering biomedical research, and therefore, the availability of repositories of human biospecimens is essential. In 2013, collaboration between the American University of Beirut (AUB) and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) was established to produce a biospecimen repository for translational cancer research and the development of better anticancer interventions.
